  • Movement between Regional Victoria and Metro Melbourne is not permitted
  • A potential buyer/ tenant can travel beyond their 25 km limit for an inspection as long as it is within Metro Melbourne
  • COVID safe measures must be implemented
• Auctions can be conducted outdoors from 11:59 pm 18th October, for all residential and commercial real estate.
• Maximum 10 people at an auction, in addition to the people required to conduct the auction
• Prior registration of bidders should be considered in order to limit attendance within the auction zone
• COVID safe measures must be in place

Mr Andrews also announced non-essential outdoor home maintenance, repairs, renovations and painting would be able to resume from Monday, with a maximum of five workers, as would pool cleaning.

Real Estate Institute of Victoria president Leah Calnan said the return of residential inspections in Victoria’s capital, from September 28, had brought the home selling and leasing markets back to life.
